1. Properly Setting Up Your Workspace

Whether you are standing at a counter or sitting at a desk all day, you need to make sure you have your workspace set up properly. 

For those who are spending long hours sitting at a desk, you want to make sure you have an adjustable chair. You should make sure that your monitor is positioned with your eyes level with the top of the screen or just below. 

If you're standing all day, you want to ensure that you're placing all necessary items within reach so you don't have to overreach for anything. You'll also want to make sure you are standing tall, and if you need a place to rest your arms, keep them at a ninety-degree angle. 

2. Get Up and Move

Again, it doesn't matter if you'll be sitting or standing throughout your day. You need to give yourself a break from your positioning and get your blood flowing. Every hour or so, you need to get up and walk around. This will stretch your body's muscles out and give your eyes a break from whatever it is you have been working on.
